How HireHabesha collects, uses and protects personal information about the companies and talent who use our service.

1.Who we are

HireHabesha ([legal entity name], registered in Addis Ababa under [registration number]) is the controller of personal data described in this policy. Our office is at Nile Source Building, 5th floor, Airport Road, Addis Ababa. You can contact our data protection lead at privacy@hirehabesha.com.

2.What we collect

3.How we use it, and why

We comply with Ethiopia's Personal Data Protection Proclamation (2024) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

4.Who we share it with

In shortOnly with companies you agree to meet, trusted providers, and authorities when the law requires.
  • Companies, only after you accept an introduction, and only the profile you approved.
  • Service providers who host our platform, send email and process payments, under contracts that protect your data.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it.

We never sell personal data, and we never share expected pay without your permission.

5.International transfers

In shortSome data travels to teams and providers abroad, with safeguards.

If you are introduced to a company outside Ethiopia, or our providers store data abroad, we use contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and only transfer what the introduction needs.

6.How long we keep it

7.Your rights

Write to privacy@hirehabesha.com. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the relevant data protection authority.

8.Security

In shortWe protect your data with encryption, access controls and regular reviews.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only staff who need it can see assessment notes, and access is logged. If a breach affects you, we will tell you promptly.

9.Children

In shortHireHabesha is for people aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

10.Changes and contact

1.Agreeing to these terms

In shortBy creating an account you agree to these terms and our privacy policy.

These terms form a contract between you and HireHabesha. If you use HireHabesha for a company, you confirm you can bind that company.

2.Your account

In shortKeep your details accurate and your sign-in private.

You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has accessed it.

3.For companies

In shortYou pay the agreed fee when someone we introduced starts, including if they start within 12 months.
  • Fees, payment dates and any deposits follow the plan you choose. Single hires are invoiced when the person starts.
  • If you hire, engage or contract a person we introduced within 12 months of the introduction, the fee applies.
  • We support each hire for 90 days. If the person leaves in that time, we restart the search at no extra fee.
  • Introductions are confidential. Do not share candidate information outside your hiring team.

4.For talent

In shortHireHabesha is free for you, and your information must be true.
  • We never charge talent a fee, and no one acting for us will ask you to pay.
  • Your profile, work samples and references must be accurate and your own.
  • You decide which companies you meet. You can decline any introduction.

5.Acceptable use

In shortUse HireHabesha honestly and lawfully.
  • No discrimination, harassment or misleading roles.
  • No scraping, reselling or copying profiles or roles.
  • No attempts to access accounts or systems that are not yours.

6.Content and intellectual property

In shortYou own what you upload; you let us use it to run the service.

You keep ownership of your profile, CV and work samples. You give us a licence to store, display and share them as described in our privacy policy. The HireHabesha name, logo and platform belong to us.

7.Liability

In shortWe work carefully, but hiring decisions are yours.

We assess people in good faith but do not guarantee any hire or job. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to a company is limited to the fees paid to us in the previous 12 months. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8.Ending the agreement

In shortYou can leave at any time; we can suspend accounts that break these terms.

You can close your account from settings or by writing to us. Fees for hires already started remain due.

9.Governing law

In shortThese terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia.

Disputes will first be discussed in good faith. If unresolved after 30 days, they will be settled by the competent courts of Addis Ababa.

10.Changes and contact
